Harting EAP has offered the Hosting option since 2003. We host for over 25% of our customers! Harting EAP has regular third-party HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 audits of security, confidentiality and availability controls.

Harting EAP offers hosting as an option for all three of our EAP Software packages.

Harting EAP has regular third-party HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 audits of security, confidentiality and availability controls. We regularly perform penetration and vulnerability audits so that we can reduce the ever-existing risks of hackers. We put extra effort into the security of all data.


REASON # 1

You immediately have a strong security environment for your data.

PHYSICAL SECURITY

  • There are two locked doors protecting the servers.
  • The Servers are on-site in a locked, air-conditioned Server Room.
  • The Servers are backed up 7 nights per week using encryption.
  • Hard Drives with the backup are stored in a Fireproof Safe and taken off site one time per week.
  • Alarms and motion detectors alert the local police of any intrusions.

DATA SECURITY

We have external certifications by auditing firms for:

  • SOC 2, Type 2
  • Penetration and Vulnerability Testing
  • HIPAA compliance attestation
  • We utilize the highest rated file integrity program.
  • We have a firewall limiting traffic and segmenting the network.
  • We lock out all but the necessary ports.
  • Our Anti-Virus software updates daily and is distributed to all computers     including the Servers daily.
  • There are strong User Names and Passwords that require the highest level of protection by requiring Upper case, lower case, numeric, and special characters, frequent changes, and other requirements.
  • For DAYBREAK, user desktops do not allow access other than to DAYBREAK.
  • We utilize 128 bit key (high) encryption for Terminal Server connections     and TLS 1.2 for web based connections.
  • All current Microsoft Security Updates and patches are regularly applied.
  • We subscribe to WatchGuard alerting us to security threats.
  • We set session time limits for unattended sessions so that the connection is not left open.
  • There are only 5 attempts that a user can try to enter their Unique    User Names and Passwords before they are ‘locked out’ of further   connection. The designated administrator must call to ‘unlock’ account.
  • We have implemented Group Policies to lock down sessions through closely watched Group Policies.
  • We require 2FA to sign into your software – a best practice for security

YOUR DATA HAS THE HIGHEST PROTECTION

  • Our Servers have features that protect the databases from being damaged or lost.
  • We have mirrored hard drives. This means that if one goes down the mirror drive takes over processing on the Server. No lost time or data.
  • We have Power Backup so that in case of a power outage, we have 5 hours of operation from our battery backup and unlimited backup from our Generator.
  • We have a Fire Proof, Locked Safe in which we keep Hard drives with encrypted backups of all data on the Server.
  • We utilize a backup system that will restore our system within two hours in the event a server goes down. In a major disaster, all services will be back up and running within 3 hours.
  • Our anti-virus software has daily updates.
  • We have two firewalls between the Server and the incoming Cable router and our segmented network. This keeps traffic into the server to select ports which protects access to the server.
  • We have unique User Names and strong Passwords requirements for data security.
  • We utilize two-factor authentication
  • We have two locked doors between the Public Access of the building and the Server.
  • Data and physical security are continually monitored.
  • We have a Disaster Recovery Plan. We test that with each Preferred Partner annually.
