Amy Harting

Amy D. Harting

President and Chief Executive Officer

Amy has been with Harting EAP since 2002. These twenty years of experiences with EAP Software have given Amy the background to understand and incorporate EAP needs into Harting EAP’s technologies. She has provided training to over 100 EAP firms on implementing technology solutions to make EAPs more efficient and productive across all of their service areas.

Amy leadership has driven the evolution and development of Harting EAP’s technology, which has led to many firsts in the industry:

  • First hosting services
  • First Affiliate Portal
  • First Behavioral Health Software Package specifically designed for EAPs
  • First eSignature / paperless office features

First mention and use of the concept of an IMPACT Rate, which includes all services an EAP provides, versus Utilization of Cases seen, a less meaningful metric of EAP value.

Before joining Harting EAP, Amy managed the Quality Assurance Program and surgeon training programs for a national laser vision company.

Amy also keeps in touch with the current needs of EAP customers by being a member of EAPA, serving currently as the Secretary of the St. Louis chapter, and on a national EAPA committee.


Noel Harting

Noel Harting

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Noel manages the security of our internal network and private cloud hosting services. Noel’s responsible for the regular 3rd party external audits including an annual SOC II audit of three trust principles of Confidentiality, Availability and Security controls. He also oversees the annual HIPAA Compliance audit conducted by an external vendor. In addition, he oversees the monthly penetration and vulnerability audits and annual intensive audit by an external firm. These audits reduce the ever-existing risks of hackers. He continually reviews national standards from NIST and others to assure Harting EAP’s compliance.

Prior to joining Harting EAP, Noel was a Technical Support Specialist for two national travel companies.


Susan Rowe

Susan Rowe

Director of Business Development

Susan’s role with Harting EAP is the Director of Business Development. She bridges the gap between talking EAP and talking EAP software, strengthening your ability to present the services you provide in an appealing and meaningful way to your client companies.

Susan’s ten-year history as President of an EAP gives her unique insight to the challenges EAPs face and how the right software can streamline processes for your staff and produce reports that demonstrate the value of your EAP to your customers.

Susan is keenly aware of the need for intuitive software that highlights the number of employees positively impacted by counseling, trainings, workplace consultations, coaching and support following critical incidents. She can help simplify recruitment and retention of affiliates while saving you time and money by communicating with external counselors electronically through our Affiliate Portal, eliminating the need for faxing and phone tag.


Tony Young

Tony Young

Support Specialist

Tony is the first voice that greets you when you call Harting EAP. His knowledge of our EAP software products, and his patience with those needing assistance, have given him a reputation for being a calm and understanding ‘go to’ person. Mr. Young Tony has an MBA in information systems and is very personable, a great communicator. Tony is very tech-savvy and has experience in our software platforms. Tony has extensive customer service experience and is the front person to our customers demonstrating the Harting EAP vision which is “Empowering EAP Professional with innovative, secure tools that validate
their positive IMPACT on employees and their VALUE to the company.”

Tony resolves most customer issues and successfully passes on other issues to the appropriate staff. If you want advice on your golf game or equipment, he is the man you want to ask. Tony teaches golf to children in the First Tee Program.


Senior Programmers

Harting EAP has four full time programmers with an average of 16 years of experience in software development. They are well versed in the design, development, testing and implementation of software applications. Their commitment to the EAP Vision of Harting EAP provides our customers with the level of support you want and expect.

All programmers undergo extensive background checks, drug screenings and interviews. They are required to know security dangers in software and are provided training on OWASP security risks to avoid in software programming.

All software development for our software packages is completed in the United States of America (USA) by USA citizens.


James harting

James J. Harting, LCSW, CEAP

EAP Consultant

Jim has been with Harting Associates, Inc. for the past 43 years.

A major focus of his professional career has been the startup of 5 EAP Companies (two of which he owned) and the implementation of EAP Software to over 400 employee assistance programs and behavioral health programs over the years. His experience in setting up and providing EAP Services began in 1972 and continues today due to his providing EAP services to 8 school districts in Illinois.

In 1985 Jim developed the first version of DAYBREAK EAP Software. Fifty-six years of Social Service administration and consultation experiences have given Jim the background to understand and incorporate EAP needs into Harting’s technology.

Mr. Harting is a member of EAPA and a CEAP. He has held several offices including President of the St. Louis Chapter of EAPA and was a member of EAPA’s National Legislative & Public Policy Committee serving as Chair for two years.
