The Center for EAP Benchmark Surveys provides electronic surveys to evaluate your services.  The ability to send electronic surveys to those clients who requested one is built into all three of the Harting EAP software packages.  EAP Benchmark Surveys has embedded the WOS 5 question model into all three of its software packages. An email is then automatically sent with a link to a web-based survey.  The data is then automatically transferred into the software. After entering the client’s choice of an electronic survey and their email address, the EAP does nothing except print the corresponding reports.  Time, postage, supplies, data entry are just some of the cost savings.

There are three reports for the WOS: (1) A management report that enables you to manage variables that affect your return rate; (2) a WOS Report of the findings of your research that can be presented to your organization(s); and (3) a spreadsheet that gets sent to CGP for inclusion in the National database of WOS results.

Our partnership with Chestnut Global Partners (CGP) enables users of all three Harting EAP software packages to immediately implement the 5 question Workplace Outcome Suite (WOS) in their EAP.  WOS is a research-based outcome tool designed specifically for EAPs to measure the workplace effects of their interventions.  Both at the time of the initial visit and 60-90 days after the EAP experience EAPro 360, DAYBREAK, and Premier software(s) enable their users to enter the pre-survey data and to enter data from which an electronic survey is sent to those clients who agreed.  All three Harting EAP softwares generate three reports.  Rigorous research standards are required as to the number of respondents and rate of return for your outcome evaluation to be highly credible.  Implementation of EAP research is time consuming and can be costly, but this electronic process facilitates data entry and production of reports that are rigorous and defensible when presenting to stakeholders.

Drs. Sharar, Lennox, Jacobson and Osteen are contributors to this effort to utilize a research-based tool, make it easy to implement and to maintain the rigors of research.
